They are so cute. I love the boys. Most of the black ones were boys.
Eleanor

The cutest one is the white one.
Danny

They are nice because they liked me.
Taylah

What did you do on Melbourne Cup day?

Tim

I was playing with my friend Tom at the club. We played darts at the club. I watched the Melbourne Cup day racing on TV. I went for Viewed and he won the big cup. You should have seen it, it was so big! We are moving on Friday and I had to wash and paint the walls at home to get ready to go to our new house.

Luke

I went to play footy at my cousin's house in town. After we played footy we played soccer and then I went home.

Eleanor

At lunchtime we had sausages, flat chips, salad and we had cordial for our drink. I tasted the flat chips for the first time and they tasted delicious. At the shops I bought a medium sized 'Snooks' one for me and one for my sister Maddison. A snook has fury hair, it has a hook so you can hang it up. It 's a toy. Mine is named Wooige and my sister's is named Frenzley, it's a long word actually, and I don't know how to spell it. I watched the race I went for Prize Lady and Guyno but Viewed won.

Taylah

I fell out of bed and got hurt! I have a sore hip. I stayed home and played a Bob the Builder game on the TV. I watched the race. I picked Moatze but it didn't win.

The Little Guys

Cory

These little guys are going to take the green key and lock all their good stuff up. There's a tiger and an elephant in a cupboard and they are going to take them out and put them in their space ship.

The Little Guys

Eleanor
These little guys are aliens. They stole the green key. Inside a cupboard there is a cat skeleton. It has been there for ever. When somebody opens the door to steal their stuff the cat skeleton goes boo! The little aliens are going to lock the cat skeleton up in a cage with the green key because he is too old to look after their stuff. The aliens will get all their stuff and put it in a bag and keep it in their space ship. They will live happily alienly ever after!

If I was a snail

If I was a snail I would like to eat cabbage. I would let the slug eat leaves and radishes. I would go for a walk to the trees to see the birds. I would hide in my shell because the birds would reckon I am meat! If the birds did eat me they would say 'Yuk' because I would taste like cabbage and I would be slimy. If I was a snail I would have a rest in a leaf. If I saw a Snail Zombie I would say 'go away' because I don't want garden snails to turn into snail Zombies because they are scary. I would come out when it is raining because I like it and I will come back in when the sun comes back out. I would like to come out at night too.

What have you been reading ?

Taylah

I read a book called 'The Tree House' by Gordon Winch and illustrated by Greg Gaul. I like this book because it was funny when they fell on the trampoline.

Tim

I read a story called 'The Land of Many Colours'. The story is about, blue people, green people and purple people. They had a war. All the houses got broken and all the toys got ruined. A little dusty kid came and told the people to stop. The people listened to him. They fixed the houses and grew some plants and fixed the toys. They stopped the war and then everyone was friends. I didn't like the story because it was too boring!

Eleanor

I read 'Grandma's Project' written Patrica Almada, illustrated by Becky Radtke. It was about a grandma who did some clay making for a secret birthday surprise. She was making clay people, clay birds and things to put on a cake for the Mama's birthday. I like the story because it was a pretty birthday cake.

Jeremy

We read a story called 'The Land of Many Colours' . The story was about blue people, green people, and purple people. They had food, animals, toys and houses of their favourite colour. They had a fight because they didn't share. I liked it because a little child came and helped them become friends.

What did you do over the weekend?

Hi Everyone,
I asked the children about what they did over the weekend and this is what they said:
Luke:
Hi, I went to the movies and it was fun. I watched 'Wall-E'. It was about a little box that sweeps up stuff and scrunches them into a box. I had my face painted like Spider Man.
Taylah,
I went to the circus. I saw monkeys walking and sitting on people's shoulders. I saw lions and the man told themto 'stay' and then they hopped up. I went with Meaghan and Tim , Eleanor, Ben and Lauren.

Eleanor

On Friday I went to the respite house. I had fun. For two nights I got sad because I missed my mummy. On Saturday I went to the circus. On Sunday afternoon I went home.

Sue Says

Eleanor, when I was little I used to miss my mum and dad when I had a sleep over. But just like you, I didn't let home sickness stop me from having a good time. I know that you had a fantastic time at respite!

Cory

On the weekend I went to Target and I got a truck and a car and a digger and T-shirt. My little cousin Mia got shoes and then I went to my Nan's house. Then I played with my truck and I went home on Sunday morning. I went to the pool in the afternoon for swimming.

Tim

I went to the Interchange outing. I was reading my dinosaur books. I had an icy-pole. It was chocolate flavour.

Jonah's Switching Suite

Hi Everyone,
Until the children come back from school holidays you will only be hearing from me
Jonah's Switching Suite link area is the place that Jonah goes to locate the resources he needs for his switching program. Between the two websites there are over 180 switching programs that can be downloaded or used on line. I am a big fan of both these sites. Follow the links back to the home sites of these programs to discover some other fantastic resources for students with disabilities ,and for people like me that just love to play around on the net. For a good chuckle go to the Priory Woods link and scroll down to 'Farting Dinosaurs'.

Welcome to Kids Space

Hi Everyone,
We have been finding it very difficult to keep our individual student blogs up to date. For this reason they will be phased out and replaced with this page, which all the students can make a contribution to. Less stress for me and more impact for the kids! Thanks for visiting.
