Today we walked to the duck pond to get some fresh clean water for our tadpoles. We need to change their water every few days so that they grow up happy and healthy. Sue showed us how to clean the tank and move the tadpoles from one tank to the other without hurting them. When the tadpoles grow into frogs we will take them back to the pond. We need to remember to feed them every few days too. The cross on the lid of the tank is to remind us not to put our hands in the water. The Crew had a brainstorming session and these are the ideas they came up with for reusing an empty drink bottle.

Cut it in half and create a mini green house to grow plants in it.

Unscrew the lid and use it to store paint or food dye washes

Fill it up with tap water and use it again.

Use it in box construction for retro boosters on a rocket or to make a bird and hang it sideways on a mobile. It could be a car too.

Cover it with paper mache as a craft activity to make a pretty water bottle for watering plants.

Collect lots and make a game of skittles.

Have you got any more ideas to add to our list?
Suehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09371737702587480677noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6326746992253729289.post-32533347382169015422009-08-04T07:40:00.006+10:002009-08-05T06:52:56.360+10:00Alphabet Scratchie

Click on the picture to play the game.
Suehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09371737702587480677noreply@blogger.com0
